Motor Protection Circuit Breakers
Supernova series motor protection circuit breaker (MPCB) from L&T Electrical & Automation (E&A) integrates functions of MCCB and thermal overload relay into a highly compact single unit. Equipped with a wide range current adjustment dial (with maximum/minimum ratio of 1.4 to 1.6), the MPCB easily adjusts to match the rated current of the motor for optimum protection. MPCB provides protection against short circuit & overload. The compact size of the MPCB, including overload relay functions, also enables a smaller installation area with less wiring space for a reduction in panel size.

Harmonic filtering for capacitor protection and preventing harmonic resonance and amplification can be achieved through the detuned filter reactors. In order to limit huge peak inrush current during switching of capacitors, E&A offers capacitor-duty contactor and thyristor switching modules for capacitor switching. L&T Electrical & Automation (E&A) offers a range of Agricultural Electrical Products under the LTLK brand that has served farmers for over 60 years. Agricultural Electrical Products include electrical starting solutions, submersible pumps, monoblock pumps and domestic pumps.
The offerings also include starters, controllers for 1-phase and 3-phase submersible pumps. M-POWER – Module for Starters & Controllers is a high technology product for operating pumps through mobile phones from a remote location.
Submersible Flat Cables
L&T Electrical & Automation’s Agriculture Submersible Flat Cables are made of bright, plain multi-strand annealed copper conductor, as per class 5 of IS:8130:1984. These cables are used for Agricultural submersible pump set applications and are available in 3 core - 500 meter & 1000 meter drums.
Voltage Grade 1.1 kV (1100 V) conforming to IS:694:1990.
XLPE Agricultural Flat Cables - These wires are made of cross-linked polyethylene material with high continuous conductor temperature - 90 C and high intermittent overloading - 130 C. Since it has better corrosion resistance, it is suitable for alkaline hard water areas.

Thermal overload relays are protection devices required in various motor starter combinations. L&T Electrical & Automation’s range of contactors complements the range of thermal overload relays. These are available for various DOL/ Star delta combinations. The overload relays have a built-in sensitive mechanism that protects the motor from overload and single phasing.

CZ Bypass Switches
CZ Bypass Switches
Bypass Switches are designed for special application and help to maintain continuity of supply to the load in case of breakdown/maintenance of UPS or Servo stabilizer used in the circuit. These simply ‘bypass’ the UPS/ Servo stabilizer, in case it needs maintenance or in case of breakdown. The removal of the UPS/ Servo stabilizer is safe as it is now isolated from both input and output side.
Available in open version, the CZ Bypass Switches are easy to install, operate and inspect. Armored with safety features like terminal shrouds, phase barriers & door interlock, the CZ Bypass Switches are designed to battle against accidental faults and inadvertent operations. Robust construction allows to withstand higher fault currents without any deterioration.
CZ Bypass Switches are available in wide range from 125A to 630A and suitable for operational voltages upto 440Vac. The entire range is suitable for AC-23A Utilization category.
Normal Mode(Green Path): SD I and SD III are closed, SD II is open, and the load is fed through UPS or Servostabilizer
Bypass Mode(Purple Path) : SD I and SD III are open, UPS and Servo can be taken out for maintenance in this mode. SD II is closed and the load is fed directly from the supply ‘bypassing’ the UPS or Servo
